I TOTALLY understand why you are doing this. Photography (especially on YOUR level) can be so time-consuming. I know of a couple of other “photographer moms” who have also given it up for now because they felt it was taking too much time away from their families.

Dang! I just got on here hoping to schedule you for the end of feb after baby no. 3 gets here. Remember how I was going to have them done last summer? Haha. It’s so hard to find someone with your eye and style, so I’m going to need to get your recommendation on someone (including the yellow skinny if in town)! I don’t blame ya for taking a break though.

It must be in the air. I think I might post a similar announcement soon. Let’s take this year and just photograph our kids…or we could learn how to shoot video and make some awesome family videos. I’ve been thinking about it and I’ve got some great ideas. Totally spaced getting back to you about that wedding. I think I’m done with the business side for a while. Just wanna be a mom for now.

I’m sad, but happy for you all at the same time – I can relate! Sometimes I feel like I dont have time to breath let alone take pictures. I am happy you said, “Take a break” and not “done altogether” you are too talented to stop shooting. You dont want to go into the photo template bus w/ me do ya?

Max 6 months old + Recipe

Our little guy Max. We finally found out that his crazy breathing problem (need for supplemental O2 + monitor) is actually a severe case of apnea. He’ll probably grow out of it when he is one year old. 6 more months to go…the little stinker.

Used stamp tool in Photoshop to fix blemishes, etc
Used TRA’s “Pro retouch” @ 50% to smooth skin and pop eyes

Cake Boutique: Employee Shoot

| F A S H I O N | Meet the lovely employees of Cake Boutique. If you’re from Utah and you haven’t been up to Cake in Park City, YOU MUST!!! It is my favorite store of all time. Cake has two locations now… one in Redstone shopping area and one on Main Street. Anywho…I think it was 20 degrees and FREEZZING outside when we took these pictures. If you could see me behind the camera you’d know because I was wearing a huge coat, gloves, Uggs boots, etc.

I went back and bought these jeans…

They all look pretty cold here…

My Family Pictures

| Y E L L O W – S K I N N Y | I talk about Becky and Dan all the time because really they are my favorite photographers. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to take over Dan’s job and follow Becky around as her 2nd photographer. Maybe one day.Anyway, I love these guys more than anything!! Seriously. We were so excited when Becky and Dan told us they were coming to Utah. We made them stay at our house and convinced them to take our family pictures again.

Go to the Yellow Skinny Website and check out the pictures, become a fan of Becky’s on facebook, get her info so you can call and offer to fly her out to do your pictures, etc.
